Dr. Rick Robenstine has practiced in Alliance since 1980, after graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry (ICO) in Chicago. At ICO, he did his thesis in the area of contact lenses, studying the efficacy of contact lens solutions. He also enjoyed an internship at the Illinois College of Optometry and interned with Dr. Richard McFall of Alliance, with whom he joined in practice in 1980.

Dr. Heidi Loy graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Optometry in 1998. She completed an OSU affiliated residency in ocular disease at Ohio Eye Alliance in 1999. She also practiced in Northwest Ohio EyeCare for 3 years before moving to the greater Alliance area.

Dr.Barker was born and raised in Alliance, Ohio. She received her doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2020. She completed an ocular disease residency at Ohio Eye Alliance in 2021. Dr. Barker joined Family Vision Care of Alliance Inc. in 2021.

Our doctors both travel to local nursing homes to perform ocular and visual examinations. They both contribute their time to programs such as Vision USA, Prevent Blindness Ohio (www.preventblindness.org/Ohio), InfantSEE (www.infantsee.org) and Realeyes school programs.
The doctors and staff are actively involved in the Alliance
community and belong to the Alliance Chamber of Commerce,
Women's Division of the Chamber, Alliance Rotary, Alliance
Kiwanis, Wranglers, Boy Scouts, Alliance YMCA and local churches. The practice received the Alliance Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year award in 2006.
